An interpretation fromthe dream of Fray Julián Garcés, recently appointed bishop of Tlaxcala. He saw the valley full of forests and crossed by three rivers that he had seen so many times in his dreams. In his vision, angels from heaven came down and traced, with gold and silver threads, the classic checkerboard of a European colonial city. His dream came true on April 16, 1531, when the City of Angels was founded, later known as Puebla de los Ángeles and now Puebla de Zaragoza.
