I am a Mexican artist currently living and working in The Netherlands.
Since I can remember, I always felt inspired by the work of my grandfather Jorge Sánchez Hernández (1926-2016, México), a great Mexican painter. He encouraged me to find my own voice in a self-taught way by looking at the works of other painters, such as Leonora Carrington, Leonor Fini, Dorothea Tanning and Remedios Varo.
I studied History of Art at Universidad Iberoamericana in México City (2001-2005). My deepest interest layed in iconography and symbolism.
I graduated in Master in Fine Arts in Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht (HKU, 2016-2017) where I produced experimental video and installation.
Since 2018 I am painting as my full time job taking commissions and sending artworks abroad around the world.
In 2020 I became a mother and continued to paint.
Feel free to contact me for any inquire.
